Ok this is a really cute Ian story. . . . .
In the beginning of January we went to Target to grab some church shoes.
Ian saw a pair of "fast shoes" that he wanted really bad. I told that we only had the money for one pair that day. I told him if he saved his penny's, he could come and buy them himself.
Well, I thought that he would just forget about them but EVERY TIME we went to Target, Ian would ask "Can I try on my fast shoes mommy?". Seriously, we would try them on and then go home and count his money and ask what work he could do!
This is money he has been collecting his entire little life. Every time he would find a dime or someone would give him a quarter . . etc. Every little bit went into his piggy bank.
Well, after unloading the dishwasher for 10 cents or helping me with laundry, etc. , he finally did it!! He made enough money for the shoes!
My little man had a goal, reminded himself of it often and then went and worked hard for it.
We took all his change an a couple dollar bills . . walked into Target . . right passed all the toys and straight to the "fast shoes".

He actually put his little money bag up on the counter and counted it with the cashier. Who, by the way, was a sweet elderly lady who was very impressed with Ian's little story.
This is the change he had left over . . now back into the piggy bank. Saving for the next thing that catches his eye.(Nathan is really tired in this picture and really had no interest in smiling for me that day:)
And still today (about a week later) he wheres his "fast shoes" everywhere!!

Aww...That is sooo cute!!!
Oh my GOODNESS this is the cutest story ever. He is better than me about saving up for something! =) So cute.
Wow, that's awesome! I'm totally impressed, he's not even 4 yet is he? I can't get some of my younger kids to save a dollar. It's always burning a hole in their pocket
That is too cute. I am trying to teach Weston the same thing. THat if he wants a toy he needs to save up. But Weston usually forgets about it.
How sweet! What a hard working little boy. Your boys look cute (even though Nathan is tired), and Ian's fast shoes are very cool.
