Last Saturday we spent an afternoon in San Juan Capistrano and stopped in at petting
zoo. Nathan, like always, is absolutely fearless and will get in any ones or anythings face. Ian is my sweet cautious one. He'd only reach his hand out a few times. We started by feeding the caged animals first. This is an emu. I'd never seen an emu before and seriously,
this guy has one mean ugly face. I wouldn't want to meet him in the wild! I don't blame Ian at all for keeping his distance. We went to the goats last and probably spent the most time there. We were so happy that Ian did so good. He got freaked out a couple of times (usually when they would start gathering around him). Nathan LOVED to feed the goats. We gave him a big carrot to give to a little goat. Turned out that this was one yummy looking carrot and Nathan just couldn't resist. Well the goats weren't in any mood to share and were not about to watch him get the first bite! Two other goats came in around him and Nathan was now in goat heaven! We had a fun day.
